Vandalism, drug and other charges pending against California man

A California man was recently transported to a local hospital for injuries he suffered in an incident for which he is accused of committing multiple criminal offenses. This young man, once released from the medical facility, is supposedly facing charges that include vandalism, burglary and drug use. The allegations in this case are quite serious in nature, and a criminal conviction on the pending charges would have a dramatic impact on the life of the accused.

The 28-year-old male is accused of assaulting a motel manager and locking himself into and vandalizing the motel lobby. Police were able to talk this individual into coming out of the motel. He was then transferred to a hospital for injuries suffered, supposedly, while breaking objects in the lobby.

Police do believe this individual was under the influence of drugs at the time. However, toxicology reports have not been released to support this claim. Police are waiting for the accused to receive medical clearance before booking him into jail.

The California criminal system does not take charges like those filed in this case lightly. The potential consequences for vandalism and the other offenses for which this individual is suspected of committing include jail time, fines, probation and court-ordered rehabilitation. If a conviction is secured by the prosecuting attorney, these consequences could greatly affect this individual's personal and professional life. A strategic criminal defense can assist those in a similar situation in fighting the charges or seeking alternative sentencing. Those accused of a criminal offense do have options, and help in finding the best option for every unique situation is available.
