2 California men arrested and facing robbery and other charges

As department stores are crazy this time of year, store owners, managers or other employees are constantly on the lookout for shoplifters. While shoplifting can carry harsh penalties in California, those accused of brandishing a weapon and stealing goods may face life-altering consequences if a conviction is handed down in criminal court. Robbery cases are no laughing matter, and those accused need to know they do not have to face such accusations alone.

A 27-year-old male was recently arrested for suspicion of robbing a Marshalls department store. The store's security officer claims that the accused left the store with merchandise and flashed a weapon when confronted. Police were unable to immediately identify the person considered responsible for the alleged crime.

The accused was picked up by law enforcement officers a few hours after the supposed incident. Another person with him, a 36-year-old male, was also taken into custody. The 27-year-old is believed to match the description of the person thought to be responsible for the robbery. The 36-year-old, on the other hand, is believed to have helped the young man flee from the scene of the crime. Charges against these gentlemen include suspicion of robbery and accessory to a crime -- with other charges possibly pending.

Both of these young men have the right to defend themselves in a California criminal court. Part of a successful criminal defense may include questioning any evidence offered against these individuals. In doing so, information may be brought forward that can help each of their cases. While robbery cases may be challenging to defend, several defensive strategies can be considered that may help resolve these cases in a positive way.
